Seymour Segnit is the CEO of MAGFAST. He says that his career was most influenced by two books, “The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs” and “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” These books taught him how to approach conversations to make people feel good about themselves.
His productivity isn’t consistent, nor does he intend it to be so. Seymour Segnit says that periods can go by where he doesn’t need to do much to operate MAGFAST. He will then get a great idea that releases a surge of energy. He shares this idea with his teams around the world such as in Macedonia and China. He calls this a “Seymour” value-added quality that doesn’t work all the time but when it does things go to the next level.
When launching MAGFAST, he shared that he was very confident consumers would love its products. He still found it terrifying, though. He feels that he doesn’t have any “hirable” skills but instead adds value in an unconventional way that works for him. Seymour Segnit company was immediately profitable, though, which gave him confidence it was on the right path.
Since MAGFAST is a new company he doesn’t have a lot of time for other things in his life. He was able to travel a bit and spend time with extended family, though. Giving his advice to other entrepreneurs, he says it all comes down to marketing. If you aren’t marketing, you don’t have a business but rather a hobby. Any company he has been involved with in the past that failed was because they didn’t do enough marketing.
